Mazatlán is the shrimp capital of the world, the US gets about 5 million pounds of shrimp annually from there. You cannot leave without going crustacean crazy. In the Golden Zone is a restaurant called La Costa Marinera the best coconut shrimp. However, any beach bar serving shrimp will impress you. Overall, seafood is fantastic in Mazatlán.
