Santo Domingo, October 1, 2026.— PGA Ocean’s 4 will welcome the 60 players competing in the Dominican Republic Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank from October 15 to 18, the season finale of the 2026 PGA TOUR Americas.

Dominican Republic Tour Championship: Prize Money and Ranking Points

The championship, held at Playa Nueva Romana, will feature a US$225,000 purse and award 600 points to the winner, 100 more than at previous tournaments this season. These points could lead to decisive changes in the tour’s final standings and determine who earns the ten Korn Ferry Tour memberships for 2027.

Latin American and International Players at the PGA TOUR Americas Season Finale

Latin American talent will be represented by Argentina’s Mateo Fernández de Oliveira, Mexico’s Omar Morales and José de Jesús Rodríguez, and Costa Rica’s Paul Chaplet and Luis Gagne, among others.

The field will also include players from the United States, Canada, England, Norway, Australia, Chinese Taipei, Germany and Sweden, along with several winners from this season. Among them is Canada’s Étienne Papineau, a two-time winner during the 2026 season and one of the leading contenders to finish the year among the top ten on the points list.

Korn Ferry Tour Membership Opportunities for 2027

The competition will bring together some of the year’s best-performing players for an event that will play a decisive role in their professional careers. Following the championship, the top ten players in the final PGA TOUR Americas standings will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for the 2027 season.

PGA Ocean’s 4 Strengthens the Dominican Republic’s Position as a Golf Destination

“Hosting the PGA TOUR Americas season finale confirms PGA Ocean’s 4’s ability to stage top-tier international competitions and strengthens the Dominican Republic’s position as a golf destination. It also allows us to connect two of Piñero’s strategic assets: PGA Ocean’s 4, host of the season finale, and PGA Riviera Maya, which will host the Korn Ferry Tour’s Tulum Championship in 2027. We are truly proud to contribute to the growth of professional golf and the international visibility of both destinations,” said Gonzalo Pan de Soraluce, Global Golf Director of Piñero’s Real Estate & Golf division.

An internationally recognized venue

PGA Ocean’s 4 is the only golf course in the Dominican Republic affiliated with the PGA of America and is home to the organization’s first PGA Golf Academy in the country. Located within the Playa Nueva Romana residential community, it features 27 holes, four of them alongside the Caribbean Sea.

In 2025, it was named Dominican Republic’s Best Golf Course at the World Golf Awards, cementing its position among the Caribbean’s leading golf courses.

The complex features a championship course, a floodlit executive course and an academy focused on training and developing players of different skill levels.

PGA Ocean’s 4 Golf Course Redesign and Improvements

As part of its strategy to continue enhancing the experience and attract international competitions, PGA Ocean’s 4 is moving forward with a redesign project in collaboration with Robert Trent Jones II. During 2026, work is focused primarily on bunker renovations, with the next phase of the project scheduled for 2027.

The improvements will enhance the course’s four distinct settings—Parkland, Desert, Oceanside and Links—with particular emphasis on the four holes situated directly along the coastline, overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

Hosting the Dominican Republic Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank is part of Piñero’s Real Estate & Golf division’s strategy to attract international events, promote sports tourism and establish golf as a source of differentiation and value for its destinations.
