Mexican golfer Gaby López will host the Gaby López Open presented by Esmark, taking place September 1–4 at Club de Golf México, as part of the Junior Nations Golf League (JUNGLE) and AJGA IPS (American Junior Golf Association International Pathway Series) calendar.

JUNGLE is a platform that connects young Latin American golfers with coaches and universities in the United States, facilitating their access to collegiate golf through a comprehensive digital ecosystem. Through these memberships and high-level tournaments, players can build a strong athletic profile enriched with advanced statistics, performance videos, and key information coaches need to evaluate their talent.

“This tournament is very special and important for junior golfers in Mexico and Latin America. Beyond the top-level competition, it will be a unique experience to share, learn, and build community. We will have clinics and conversation spaces that will help them plan their future both inside and outside of golf. For me, it will be an honor to accompany and guide them throughout the week,” said Gaby López, three-time LPGA winner and host of the event.

The Gaby López Open presented by Esmark is positioned as one of the most important competitions in the region for the development of junior golf, in collaboration with the Mexican Golf Federation (FMG), offering official points for the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)Junior Golf Scoreboard, and PBE (Performance Based Entry) of the AJGA.

Players between the ages of 12 and 19 who have not yet started college may participate. Qualification will be based on international and national rankings such as WAGR, Rolex AJGA Ranking, Junior Golf Scoreboard, and the FMG ranking. The best players from each Latin American country and outstanding national talents in different FMG categories will receive invitations and special exemptions. In addition, the organizing committee will grant invitations through Club de Golf México, XUNTAS, and KUDOS.

“The Gaby López Open presented by Esmark is a unique opportunity for new generations to experience a high-level international tournament in Mexico. We want to inspire them and give them the tools to grow both on and off the course,” said José López Butrón, Tournament Director.

The Gaby López Open presented by Esmark will be played in individual stroke play format over 54 holes, with a cut after 36 holes. The top three finishers in each division will receive trophies or medals. Additionally, results will award AJGA PBE points, with benefits such as full exemptions for champions and star status for top finishers.
